Audit Mode vs Production Signals

Audit Mode is for teams without production traffic yet. Paste golden/test questions and Bridge checks whether the active knowledge base has strong enough evidence.

Production Signals are for live Bridge usage. Refusals and negative feedback become review-first candidates you can convert into Answer Fixes.

Both paths create candidates, not automatic fixes. A human still decides what is worth fixing.

Prepare an audit-ready knowledge base

Use approved, non-sensitive source text that the AI is allowed to cite.
Start narrow: one product, policy, support area, or internal workflow.
Make sure the source is added and indexed before running Audit Mode.
Have an owner ready to approve answers and source excerpts.

Self-serve Phase 1 workflow

1. Create a focused knowledge base with approved source text.
2. Pick 10–25 real customer or employee questions.
3. Run Audit Mode before production traffic exists.
4. Review weak-answer candidates and convert only useful gaps.
5. Add a human-approved answer plus source link or excerpt.
6. Preview or copy the approved-QA packet for a future manual handoff.

Choose good golden/test questions

Ask questions customers actually ask, not keyword fragments.
Include edge cases your current docs should answer clearly.
Include a few questions the assistant should refuse if source material is missing.
Keep each line to one question; Audit Mode accepts 1–25 questions per run.

What an Answer Fix is

An Answer Fix is a reviewed answer-quality item: the failed or weak question, the approved answer your AI should eventually give, and the source link or excerpt that supports it. You cannot approve an Answer Fix until it has both an approved answer and source evidence.

Approved Answer Fixes appear in the approved-QA packet preview. The packet is a review/export artifact only; it does not change production answers by itself.

Phase 1 no-go boundaries

AnswerOps Phase 1 is intentionally review-first. It is safe for self-serve audit work because it does not automate downstream changes.

No generated approved answers.
No automatic Forge handoff or Forge ingestion.
No Bridge release creation or publishing.
No release impact reports, pricing gates, billing changes, connectors, or background jobs.
No compliance claims beyond Bridge's current approved-knowledge posture.
